Recording formats

When recording at Roth Händle I have been working with a type of hard disk portable recording studios from Akai. I have three Two 12 channel models and one 16 channel model. This means that I have 40 actual channels to work with but after sync and all it ends with 36. I have also 750 virtual channels to work so if you are in the mood to do Enya style vocal layers you are very welcome.

The Akai system has no sound compression and is very very simple to work with which was very important to me in getting my first machine. It has to be simple and fast otherwise it is better to do something else. Earlier I have done backups to Dat tapes but I will be converting all my material to CD during the spring to keep double back ups of the music.

But…It is very easy to bring your own system to the studio as Ludvig Andersson and Max Lachmann for those sessions. Anything can and will be sorted out.
