The Moog taurus pedals are together with the Mellotron, Mini Moog, Hammond organ one of the archetypical sounds of progressive rock. The most used sound and therefor most recognizeable is the Taurus sound, a really low fat bass sound with some great sweeping modulation over the top. But there is more….The Tuba and bass sounds are both really useable sounds even though they don´t have that character like the Taurus sound has. But there is also a programmable sound, a preset that you can tailor to your own needs with controls that are located under a small plexiglass lid on the front of the pedals. There are two sliders on the pedals loudness ( volume ) and filter.

I have used these pedals on almost every recording I have done. They sound great, are extremely easy to use and they add a really great bass and low end to any production.

I have also used them extensively live with Andreas & jag, Reminder and Änglagård. Tobias Ljungkvist from Reminder became really great at playing them and used the pedals together with distortionpedals, tremeloes and flangers. I think a lot of people only use them as they are but I think they are really really versatile soundwise when combined with effects.
