| Solina Short Description: Double manual organ with basspedals. Description: This Organ has been used quite a lot since I got it. On the Nanook album it almost became the main organ we used. But with every instrument it takes some time to figure how to apply it to your music. With the Solina Organ the main sound we started using were the basspedals. They have plentiful of lowend and became the main basspart on a couple of songs on the Nanook album. One example being St.George and the Dragon. It was also really great to get away from using the Taurus pedals for lowend anonymous bass sounds. The next feature that really comes to mind is the springreverb and vibrato on the organ. And the coolest thing is that there is an input socket on the back so that you can plug guitars, vocals et.c through the vibrato and reverb. A really unique and oily sound. Of the organs I have we have used the Solinas actual Organy-part pretty rarely. I don´t know why. It is great for creating almost early Genesis typed lines but there are other organs in the studio that do the thin reedy stuff better…And for theatre/horror movie/exagerrated vibrato type sounds I tend to use the Thomas. One great aspect is of course the fact that I got it for free from a daycare center. The kids just played with it all the time and it just became too loud and annoying for the people working there. At Roth Händle it fits in perfectly.
